"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Here's a Life-Like N scale Conrail GP20. CR rostered only thirteen units of this type. All were originally purchased by the New York Central and subsequently became Penn Central property upon the NYC/PRR merger. Note the model is equipped with Rapido couplers as the Conrail unit was released before knuckle couplers became standard.

This arrived this week:

(HO scale, ad picture.)

Alas, though, it has a bit of a hitch in its get-along when running at slower speeds in reverse. I could very likely find/fix the issue... but tampering with it would void the ability to exchange it, so it is likely going back for exchange.

As for me and my hobby of trains, I'm in a "old time steam" mode and having fun with it.  I've been dutifully surfing eBay looking for engines/rolling stock for the era, and have been working up some track plan sketches to experiment with various main line arrangements for the steam layout that's to be in the new 16' x 20' out building.  SO FAR, the wife's been tolerant of the kitchen table looking like this:

As you can see, I'm still in the "Analog Age" when it comes to track planning. I LIKE sitting at a table and using hand-held tools to create with. I've tried CAD layout software and it just doesn't yield the same satisfaction. (Though the ability to save variations is nice.)

All fer now!

Wow, we looking at G scale here?   I don't know what this is, or who makes it, but I like it.    You definitely followed the first three principles of railroad construction, drainage, drainage, drainage.     An outdoor signal system?

Jerry
