Atlas made big news recently with its announcement of accurate HO scale models of NJ Transit's dual mode ALP-45DP locomotive and companion multi-level rolling stock. Built by Bombardier, this equipment has become a common sight around the NJT system. The DCC version of the locomotive will feature an ESU LokSound decoder. Based upon my own experience, I've found ESU second to none in terms of quality so the rather unique sounds of the ALP-45DP will be nicely reproduced.
Below are several images from the Atlas website and a link to the special publication issued specifically for these models.

These models will definitely be interesting.

Nice photo's Joe and Bob!
Joe, nice shots of your N scale layout. I wish I had the patience to do scenery like that!
Hey guys! Love what I see! I haven't been on the O forum in a while. I was building a size-able O layout - in November my wife lost her gig and we hit some serious financial hardship. In April, I had to liquidate my O gauge to cover the escalating debts. I tore out my O gauge benchwork in April - June and began planning for a future HO layout. Here's the plan I came up with:
It prototypes the Topeka area where I grew up. Coming up on July and the only gigs my wife is getting interviews for are close to my work - I commute two hours everyday. Looking like were going to have to move in the next 6-12 months. So I'm going to have to scrap some of this. That said, I've begun working on the Benchwork for the long yard. Everything's at 49" height (my O layout ranged from 38 - 49"). I'll snap some photos of the yard benchwork tonight.

Still figuring out how to support everything. My O layout used 2 x 3s for legs but I don't have any long enough. I do have a ton of 1x4s at 48" so I'm tinkering with those.

Train6666, is that your garden railroad?
As with all Garden RR's we had a Little ballast work to do due to the heavy rains but all is running great.
DCC Ran great as usual and with sound, only 2 drops of 20/2 and off we go with out Operational Drama..........Running model trains is fun when there's no operational issues all the time. Garden RRing and O gauge in the Garden pictures coming soon is fun and A simple fun Hobby when I use A reliable Operating system . I don't get upset I just have fun with my Trains and no brainers...............Live and learn, Video shortly.
