I've got some new goodies to show... but it will be tomorrow sometime before I take pics/etc. In the meantime... hope to see some pics from you other HONGZ'ers!

I posted this one today asking MTH a question about the pantographs.
Train 6666- put that on the track and turn the smoke unit on!
I'm BAAAaaack!
As threatened, some pics!!
First up: The engine roster has grown:
There's now 5 of the Bachmann "new tooling (NT) 4-4-0's on hand. 4 are factory DCC/Sound equipped, and one is straight DC so I can install a different sound decoder.
Going to stand pat for a spell on these Bachmann NT 4-4-0's and try to wait for the next two to be released.
I also picked up another Arbour Models "Brooks Mogul" kit:
This gives me two Arbour Model's Brooks Mogul kits. In addition, I've picked up some MDC "Old Timer" kits so I can use the mechanisms, frames, and parts, for other projects. The kits are for later.
Next, the rolling stock fleet has grown considerably:
At this point, I'm taking a bit of a breather from the "seek and acquire" mode I've been in. While I take a break and give my hobby funds time to recoup, I will be furthering along various of the above, as well as returning to the track plan. In addition, I've also been tinkering with one of my V scale projects.
While going through some of my archived "stuff", I found some art concept renditions I sketched almost 20 years ago when I was planning an Sn3 Colorado theme layout. Even though I threw in the towel on Sn3 (the TOC19 era required WAY too much craftsman-type and scratch-building to suit me), the basic "look" of these renditions is what I envision for my HO scale "Colorado & Pacific" theme the above items are aimed at. Yes, it is admittedly on the "funky fantastic" side of expression... but this is what Colorado means to me! (We've vacationed there extensively since about 1993.) I've seen such scenes and more while exploring Colorado, though many of them didn't have rails through them. Note: I will not be pursuing the floor-to-ceiling approach with the Colorado & Pacific, for I want easy access to all the undersides of the layout. Anyway, here's the pics:
That's it fer this 'un!

Andre,
Fine roster of engines! The sketches from 20 years ago look great! Wouldn't it be fun o build and operate a layout like that in any scale or gauge?
@Mark:
Glad you enjoyed seeing the growing roster! More to come... all in good time.
As for fun to build and operate on: Indeed it would be, and I do hope to find out. The current track plan I'm developing for my HO scale Colorado & Pacific will feature helper service and mine switching. And, as you noticed, I would really like to have some fun scenery to build and operate amid.
We shall see!
