Happy Birthday, Josh!
The set you got is a great one!

Here is Raritan River Railroad SW900 number 1 working my layout's main freight yard. The Hercules Centerflow and Hostess Airslide cover hoppers were common sights on the line in later years as Hercules in Parlin and Continental Baking in East Brunswick generated significant volumes of traffic for the railroad.

Happy birthday, Josh...hope you enjoy your new train set! Great photos, Scott!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Followed the New York Central electrics around the layout today. The S motor is by Lionel and the T3 is a Sunset 3rd Rail product.

Great job Peter

Here's a subway station platform I'm building for my club. The NJ Hi-railers.
Footprint 8 foot long 6 1/8 inches wide.
Just picked up some Menards rolling stock this week. I bought the cars for the Pepsi trucks and passed along the flat cars and free boxcars to my boys. Talk about solidly built! These boxcars are made of super thick plastic which is perfect for little hands.
A 2015 Christmas layout memory
Maybe one on the more expensive "backdrops" used. For the unfamiliar, these are Pittsburgh Pirates logos that are printed in the summer months on the cardboard cases for a local beer, I.C. Light, made by Pittsburgh Brewing Co. That's a lot of beer making up my "backdrop"!!!

Today is our last day in Maine, and fortunately we got to see the Railway Village in Boothbay. No O Gauge, but fantastic operating Maine two-foot narrow gauge and a tremendous HO layout depicting Maine Central, Boston & Maine, and Bangor & Aroostock. Also a great collection of vintage autos, trucks, tractors, outboards, and more. Kids loved it. So did Grandpa.
Made a little bit of progress on my N5c boom car. The next major step is to add lighting, then it can finally be buttoned up for good.

In the picture above, the kitten is fast asleep in front of a beautiful box of Beautiful Passenger Cars....This set is a really nice set. I recently sold my entire collection, every car, every extra car, every locomotive, every display, Simply One Sale, ALL GONE!!! One.....Stroke of the Pen....

B&O Bill:
Our family has been to the Boothbay Railway Village a number of times. It's a great stop for a family vacation for all the reasons you mention.
Another children-pleaser is the handcar they have on the grounds just behind the main station. It runs back and forth on a short straightaway. Being able to pump themselves up and down is a big thrill for the kids.
Don't forget to cut through the woods and go to Damariscotta. Another beautiful small Maine town.
I'm envious,
Steven J. Serenska
