Things aren't going very well at the door factory this morning.  None of the crew showed up for work yet and the local switcher didn't spot the car where it can be unloaded.  And the Milwaukee Road F's units are seen leaving the area in the background.  Looks like a long day.

Fantastic "O" coal model Don, best I've ever seen!

Walthers marketing people should have copied their HO into O.

Such a common structure in most NE major towns, yet no O models were ever produced.

This week's Observation car is part of a Lionel CZ set from the early 90's. The set was unusual as it was all vista dome cars. The set coincided with the introduction of Lionel's first scale PA's.

Here's some action from last Saturday after we closed - we had a lot of visitors!

Following what I learned from our friends at TM Books and Video, we bought wheels for our tripod - I am still learning how to use it.

The clip starts with our MTH Premier PS3.0 Allegheny, which, BTW, we have a couple of them left, and then shows the other trains running about. How many different trains are in this clip? I lost count!

They know they need a trackmobile, but money is tight and has business has been a little slow lately.

The crew thought the boss had taken the weekend off, but were surprised to learn that he had stopped over to check something and found what was in the picture.  I expect there could be a shakeup in the works.

Last week I took a long weekend and took a day trip (from Lancaster) to the Scranton area to visit the Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour and pay a short visit to Steamtown.  Here are some pix:

train master serviced an ready to go,,new trim package,,,and oiled and lubed ,,,its the best runner I have in postwar,,,,,the gg1 is in town from her west coast run,,,,a gg1 that should have been 

Today my wife finished her project for the layout. This is almost an exact copy of her fathers TV & Radio sales and service store on Dixie Highway in Momence. She made interior, painted, etc. I had nothing to do with this. I thought she did good, even making tar paper out of tape, the TV and radio's, counter, etc. From what I see, Superman and Roy Rogers shows are on.

Come on Frank, I’ve seen you model stuff like this before.

Hard to believe the car was almost white produced by Atlas. I think that’s why someone got rid of it.

Most of these light cars take on a better appearance when toned down.

If you knew how little time it look to paint-decorate the inside ends and roof, you would laugh. Bob Ross did an entire oil painting in under 30 minutes on TV. I was able to get to that point too. I learned from the best.

No magic, just common sense.

Picked up this classic Lionel PW caboose that was found in many sets. It's in amazingly good condition. A real time capsule.
