Time for a summary ----
A. OK, these metal thingys appear to be, as many of you have graciously stated, supporting pieces for a Fastrack Elevated trestle system, 6-12037 as shown in this upside down view:
B. These are Super-O control blades/rails, part number 36-17, and part of the #36 Operating Car Remote Control set. Several responses on this one!
C. Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! An exact physical match for the chains used on the 6-17522 flat car carrying a Plymouth Prowler! Thanks Todd! Wow, that kind of dates this one! They quit making Plymouths about 20 years ago, didn't they?
D. Also a control rail, and despite the identical spacing of the hole and posts to those shown B, it is not quite the same as B. Note that B is die cast and the center hole is (machine screw) threaded, whereas this one is tin plate and the center hole can only accept a sheet metal screw – which coincidentally was included in the packet which came with the #44 Missile launching car.
E. Unidentified but here’s a closeup of the piece where you can easily see the wording.
The lens-like structure is adjustable (moves in and out) but looks like it would need a cohort lens to make it work. Note the fake screw heads molded into the part - makes this look a bit like part of a child's pretend camera. It was in the pack with the #44 missile car parts,
F. Unidentified – the only reason I keep stuff like this (little bits o’ plastic and such) is because I, or someone else on this forum) might need that part one day, and I’d be happy to send it your way, gratis!
G. Unidentified – Ditto above
H. As a few of you noted, this is a pin used on an OTC contactor to increase the height of the blades to allow for use of O gauge track.
As always, awesome knowledge here! Thanks to ALL of you for your help on this Covid inspired, down-time search!
