Did you find what you were looking for? I just missed a post war 2360 GG1 in the box at a great price. Saw it, came back 15 minutes later and it was gone! The one that got away. After that disappointment I had to settle for smoke fluid and some tools. How did you do?

I got a couple of Lemax buildings, that's pretty much it.

Many years ago, at a Gilbertsville meet, I spotted and was handling two formula one race cars. They were replicas of cars from the fifties or sixties. They were all cast metal, about 1:12 scale. Beautiful pieces with all working suspension, steering, etc. The were not motorized. I put them down and looked away for two seconds. The guy standing behind me picked them up and handed the seller the $30.00 he was asking. Every time I am at a meet, I think of that incident.
Bottom line, he who hesitates walks away empty handed.
I bought a couple of MTH offset hoppers from a certain seller.
Sorry to hear the GG1 got away.

I seldom go looking for anything specific--if something resonates, I'll pick it up if it's within budget. This time it was railroadiana. I found an old Reading Co. Dressel locomotive lantern and something a bit odd, but somewhat interesting--a 1937 printing plate from the Baltimore Valuation Engineer office depicting a system map of the Western Maryland RR with all the corporations and dates of construction. Also picked up one of those Hess toy trucks.
Same thing happened to us. My daughter saw a gold mint car she wanted for her 027 layout and I said we'll look around and come back...it was gone. As for me I found a great deal on Gargraves track, a cool passenger station and some rolling stock.
Every day you're vertical is a good day.
I'm so jeallous! You guys in the northeast have all the shows! I'm in Dallas and we don't seem to have anywhere near the amount of shows/expos you guys have.
I purchased from Gryzbotski's a Railking SD9 dummy unit and a scale Lionel 3 Bay hopper that appears to match the PRR coal train from 2009. It was a lite show for me this time around.
Just an OGR Vol 13 video.
When I was strolling the aisles early in the morning, I saw two Lionel Polar Express Mint cars at Gzryboski's for a nice price. But when I returned around lunchtime to get one, they were both gone. Oh well... plenty of those to be found locally anyway for only a couple of $$$ more. So no big loss. Tonight, I hope to watch the OGR video.
I almost pulled the trigger on one of MTH's new Z-6 challengers with a nice 6-car freight train -- all for a very fair price. But I REALLY preferred the GN green loco as opposed to black. So for a few minutes, I was sweating it out... Do I? Or don't I? Gotta admit I felt a sigh of relief when I walked away and decided... nah... I'll wait to snag a green version when the price is right.

A pair of MTH hopper cars and some diagonal cutters. 2 cheese dogs, a soda and later a pretzel.
I was considering the new Lionel Lionchief Disney Christmas set that was decently priced at the Nicholas Smith table, but decided to hold off (may still get one, but didn't pull the trigger today). I also saw a Mickey and Minnie Mouse Christmas Lionel handcar for a decent price. I already have one, but was very tempted by the price. When I returned later in the day, it was gone. (I'm actually surprised it was there at all today, I would have thought it would have sold on Saturday for the price it was marked)

Keep us posted on how well the cheese dogs and pretzels do on your layout.....LOL
I was going to buy Ted breakfast but he ran out like he always does. Lol
I grabbed a little bit of everything. I found a 6419 Wrecking Car, as well as a 6464-150 Eagle Merchandise car (w/gray and yellow door). I'm trying to recreate a set from a catalog, to pull behind the 2243 I got at Allentown last year. I now have 3 of the 5. I took the last Disappearing Hobo car from the Nicholas Smith table. I had one when they first came out, but I returned it because I needed something to complete my Christmas layout that year, and I never got around to getting another.
I picked up a few Dept. 56 figures. I'm a sucker for small Santa figures, I place 'em everywhere. I got my 2017 Lionel price guide, and an Angela Trotta Thomas calendar for my desk.
I grabbed a horn I thought would work for my Soo Line GP-38, but it didn't fit. There goes $2.50 down the drain.
If I had made one more lap, I'm about sure I would have left with one of the Lionel door greeters from the Nicholas Smith table. Maybe it is a good thing my back gave up when it did, but I can't help but think it would look really cool inside my front door this Christmas. Oh well.
I got OGR's two latest video's, barrels for my wife's go that have been missing for years and a 48 star flag on a flab pole I have never seen before (Marx?).
I debated on several vehicles I didn't spring for, maybe spring thaw if available.
I bought 2 Atlas O California Zeypher 10-6 Sleepers for $25 each
Yes thats right $25!!!!!!
The boxes were a little rough and one had a bunch of loose screws on a truck that had to be tightened. I asked the seller why so cheap and he said he just wanted to get rid of them. He asked me what they normally go for, I told him they go in the ballpark of $100. He held to his original price but told me if I passed he was going to raise the price for the next interested buyer.
I bought a few die cast trucks, and 3 Lionel Tubular 072 switches for an awesome price.
Saturday, I picked up my Lionel Legacy Freedom Train GS-4. Nothing else until late Sunday afternoon when I found a good deal on Lionel Legacy Canadian Pacific (CP) A-B-A F3s to go with an extra set of six CP passenger cars I have. The now completed CP set will go to my sister in Florida.
Saturday I saw two prewar Lionel 184 Bungalows for $60 each. Passed on them. Sunday did another tour, the Bungalows were still there but the price was now $75 each. The seller said he would take $60 each. (I had been thinking of about $50 each, but kept the wallet sealed shut.)

I think I saw those.... something like $375 for the pair, right? Looked like a good deal.

2 huge photos of 2100 and 2102. Excellent for detailing.

I bought a couple of Lionel pedestrian crossover bridges. Took me a while to read the instructons, but once I figured it out, they worked just like they were supposed to.
I asked Ed Boyle if the little VW cars he had running on superstreets had Legacy. He admitted they didn't, so I passed on them.
And particularly thanks to Chuck for setting me up, I got a Lionel Pilot 4-12-2.

Not at all what I was hoping to get. I had a shopping list of scratch building materials. One vendor had same window frames/ doors, but not what was on my list.
So I ended up with a new K-line tractor-trailer for my intermodal yard, an Atlas-O switch tower kit, the OGR Furniture Co. Kit, a NS Veterans Unit shirt, and a brand new MTH NS High-Cube for half price!
I almost made a trip to Nick Smith (1.5 hours extra to the trip), they were out of the Railking Veterans combo's, but had a phenomenal price on them!! I'm still kicking it around.....
Last but not least, some photos of a strip mall up the road from the fairgrounds that I'm going to model on my layout!
I picked up another set of Williams 18" RDG heavyweights (the old ones with the the printed image of passengers in the windows), an MTH LNE 2 bay hopper, a junk combine car to make a yard office out of, a reproduction blue globe lantern to hang on CNJ 113 while she's being serviced between runs (our Christmas trips out of Minersville PA are 12/4 and 12/18 - www.rrproject113.org ) and some smoke fluid.

Now I owe Chuck a commission???
Seriously Gerry, I'm glad the 4-12-2 found a great home. Enjoy!!!

I picked up:
-- the Veteran's-painted MTH SD60E from Nicholas Smith (also verified the ACS-64 story)
--a Kusan Western Maryland gondola (better condition than the ones I saw on Ebay)
--and at the last minute (i.e. while vendors were packing up), a WBB gondola from Grzybowsky's
