Alan, As everyone seeing your Church Work, The Interior, I really like your pictures. I like Churches as The Lord has provided us a Fun Hobby. Thank you for posting. Happy Thanksgiving. I spent today opening up a few engines for testing.

Thanks Larry! If I can make people think about God in a "small way," so much the better.
Erik: Love those old bridges. At one time there were a bunch around here but time has taken its toll. There is still one across the NS main near Leetsdale, Pa. but closed to traffic.
Yes Eric, I love your bridge work, so real looking...Thanks for Sharing your talent with us.....and Alan, We must Keep Jesus in Our Hearts and Minds and Your Church interior's isles can Lead Us to The Altar....Amen, and Amen.....

I agree with you on that Larry! Happy Thanksgiving. I am certainly thankful for so much!

Hooray!

Thanks Mike, its like 90 trees. They are beautiful trees however a bit too uniform in shape so creative planting is required. And I need to fill in the emptiness underneath but the fall foliage canopy is what I was after. Ill have and arch bridge coming thru them connecting to the coal dumper on the other side. The coal dumper may go but I'm not sure yet. I havent worked on the layout much this year with buying the house and stuff so now I can get into it.
Like the trees Matt very nice addition.
Thanks boys glad you like the bridge project. That's John Johnson he is a retired civil engineer and off to the next phase of building in the framing.
Well after a few weeks of not working on the layout thinking where to go next with it. thinking this section I don't like and this section I don't like and so on I did like the 2 levels but didn't like the wires hanging from the upper level and only being able to run one train at a time on the main level and one on the lower level by the time I was finished well let just say not much was left of my layout. so now I have a question I have a lot of fastrack with ballast glued on since it's just white glue can you wash the track in the tub and dry it after to get the ballast off ?? I did do a piece in the sink and it all came off easy. died the piece and have it set aside so tomorrow I can see if it rusts at all I don't think t would but never know.
I like the scenery on this page. The autumn colors on the trees are great. Excellent layout detailing.
I spent time finishing my thirteenth box of Preiser 65602 Unpainted 24 Seated People for my Lionel SP, UP, and Pennsy 21" passenger cars. With 312 seated people finished, I only have 14 boxes or 336 left to paint. The Preiser 65602 set makes the equivalent of $155.00 of people if purchased separately in the five Preiser pre-painted packages. My painting saves me over $120.00 per box of twenty-four and it is fun to see the finished product.
My passenger cars pass over the 40" Pratt Double Truss Bridge by my control table, so it is easy for me to see the people in my cars. At night the cars look especially nice. Back to painting.

Good looking work there John!

Some great work posted to including the behind the scenes work being done at by Erik and his crew http://coloradooscale.org . Matt like the trees. it makes the Hells Gate bridge scene really pop. Yesterday with everything going on concerning Thanksgiving I managed to finish a Kadee upgrade on my Atlas CB&Q/C&S SD40
I started out doing a test fit using Mario's Atlas GP35 Kadee mounts. When I discovered they would work, I went ahead and used styrene strips to fill in the gap on the mounts. A little light sanding of the sides and face then off to paint.
Install into the pilot was pretty straight forward. Used epoxy to set in place and after 3hrs dilled out the hole for screw into the pilot then screwed in place. The next thing was to sand down the coupler mount on the truck assembly to make room for the Kaddee and the mount. For the Kadde coupler I used a pair of 743s short shank which really is your only option as there is not a whole lot of room to work with. If your going to fix the pilots you will need to trim of more of the coupler mount on the truck Assembly

Got a lot done over the last few days. First was able to finish both of my Atlas Double Track Pratt Bridges.
Bryan, those bridges came out great and two together all the better. Your red light district is consuming more and more area. Does that mean the carnival will soon be gone LOL. All in all good job on the two areas. No work for me. Basking in 80 degree weather in Florida. Tomorrow I will be heading to Roundhouse South to see what they have and I can purchase. See you in a couple of weeks,...........Paul
Bryan Looks very Interesting. Tom SR.

Great looking job, does Mario's have Kadee mounts for other cars or engines?
Thanks guys hopefully it stays its not like it plays automatically and it is just a toy.
Paul, have fun in Florida just be back by December 9 as I'm hosting the Friday group again. still plenty of room in the red light district for expansion.
Mike, I know what you mean about these bridges and these were the single track converted to double so I had to take it completely apart before rebuilding. Glad your wife got a laugh out of it so did mine when I showed her the completed project.
More progress on the Big Red build. Lights, rectifier and sound board wired in. Lights and rectifier work fine, won't know about the sound board until I get a speaker rigged...
Next up: Wiring the DPDT switch as a reverser and rigging a speaker for the sound board!

I totally agree!
It has an error for me but I followed the url to YT.
I was expecting sound effects, but that is one action packed scene Bryan. You need a smoke unit there for after,
I finished weathering the other two of my wartime black ten-wheelers tonight. One particular detail I wanted to get was the normal wear you see on the footplates. While it isn't perfect, anyone who's ever ridden a steam locomotive should recognize this particular wear and tear on that part.
I also covered the molded coal at the edge of the coal bunker with real crushed coal.
Added two #6 switches and wired them up on the shelf portion of the layout. Now we can finish our way around with the outside main.
Also, had my son run and show my dad the layout on Thanksgiving. That was the best.
Need to be up in four hours, tailgating for the game tomorrow. Go Bucks!
Began organizing and tidying up train room for visitors to the layout this weekend.
Put a set of street lights around one of my team track areas to help facilitate night time loading/unloading operations.
Cleaned up a multi car derailment inside one of my tunnels which happened yesterday ( Thanksgiving day ). The derailment fowled both main lines.
Lubed my Industrial Rail trolley.
Reprogrammed two Lionel TMCC locomotives.
Ran trains and had some genuine fun!!!! Good times in Patsburg!!!!!

Pat,
I hope you and your visitors have a great time!
Nice Work everybody
Finished a video,
Well can't say I didn't work on the layout I tore most of the old layout down Not sure on a new track plan yet. playing around alittle might keep is small and simple this time who knows my tables i'm working with one is 4x8 the other is 4x7 so I moved them to a l shape. one issue I had with the old layout was no place to put buildings it was mostly track everywhere. great for running trains but not for dressing up the layout so. like I said maybe small and simple. here's what I did yesterday was only able to hook up a cw80 at 2 am to test it out with Thomas no command control on this layout yet. I will have to pull the tables out away from the wall and add an area for the docks but I have the room for that . I also while doing all of this was cleaning track back up too. fill the tub with warm water put track pieces in scrub them up dry them and then a nice wipe down of wd40 to prevent rust. worked so far none of the pieces on the layout have been cleaned yet. switches not sure what to do with them yet . now if I could just figure out to tie in whats left of the old layout the long yard and transfer table are still there and the area with elevation to the main level before. first two photos are of those areas
