My pleasure! Be careful with the Lectric Shave, as it will take the paint off a painted shell as well. Won't bother the plastic, though.

Old Spice works too.
I can't wear it, so at least now it has a use
More great work Johan. Judging by your posts lately, looks like Anchor has been working overtime. Better give him a rest soon.

And I suppose Coca-Cola will take off the over-spray, factory paint, plastic, and corrode any metal pieces to boot!

Deuce posted:Not much lately. Our train room is stuffed with lawn equipment that we had to keep safe from both Hurricane Florence and Michael. There isn't any room to move around in there. I need to empty it out, and I'm hoping that once I do that ... I'll be able to assess the final moves to get the table fully operational and used more often than it has been. The oldest still talks about his "outside trains" so the interest is still there.
Plus, it's almost time to think about what I'm going to do for underneath the tree. I think I'll need a bit more FasTrack. There is a train show in MB coming up in a few weeks. Hope to get a deal or two.
@Deuce;
Glad to hear through the hurricanes OK. The videos shown on the news up here were pretty frightening.
On the subject of Fastrack for Christmas trees, after months of being away dealing with two knee replacements (one mine, one my brother’s), I’ve been starting to get the train room organized and have been finding things I forgot I bought... I’ve found two 4-packs of O-72 curves which I can’t use - I have absolutely no room to expand, so they are superfluous. Let me know if you could use them (same terms as the otherbtrack).

I worked on my Ceiling Central Railroad today. The inner loop of 027 track gave me trouble, so I removed it and realigned some of the GarGraves track. I tried putting in switches for a siding, and it got too frustrating in the small space so I opted for one track for now. Here is the latest. I know, the lighting isn't the best. Someday.....
Mark, if you view it in full screen the lighting is just right! Makes me want one! LOL My problem is my ceiling is not flat! by the time I would run it above the door, it would hit the ceiling on the other side!
Dave, Blue sky's is a good thing! means progress is in the works. What's next clouds! You rock Dave, I just love fallowing your builds!
Thank you, Mike! I’m sure you could work out something if you wanted. When our girls were teenagers this was my only layout. My wife suggested it.
This look is classic.
I think they outclass the loco graphics some.

Great video, Mark! I really like that you have a few buildings up there as well. Nicely done 👍
Thank you, JD! Im going to put a few more up too. They have to be short. I only have 6 3/4" height.

FL9TURBO2, nice power plant scene.
The wife and I just got in from picking up the painted passenger cars. Rain held off till we were close to home but we decided to stop at Cracker Barrel for dinner. The passenger cars came out better then I thought because I gave her a drawing of what I wanted so until I saw it for real I was a bit apprehensive. So now comes the process of reinstalling the sillouettes in the cars and then the new lighting for the cars. I am very happy with Christine's work and I'll have a few projects for her down the road. Pics of the cars..........Paul
They are beautiful!
Nice video Mark. I like how you followed the walls so the train is not just on an endless loop. The s curves give some depth to it as it makes its way around the room. That WM RS looks sharp too.
Bob
Thank you, Bob! The jogs in the wall forced me into the S curves, but once the track is good, it is interesting to watch the train flow around them. Those S curves were what messed with me when I had two tracks. I would run trains a long time thinking everything was good, then have a clearance issue with say a 40 foot boxcar and a 2-4-4 cab roof. So I finally got tired of moving track and eliminated the second loop. There is at least one piece of straight track between curves. Thank you on the RSD-5. MTH did a nice job. I like the looks of the RS-3 better, but

Hey Mark - very nice ceiling layout! That ALCO RS 3 sounds terrific! AND I love the way you have arranged the consist of your freight train!

Thank you, Pat!! Your setups for Teamtrack Tuesday look great, especially like the trucks!
Have been arm chairing.. reading up on gas electrics. Found there were books on them and cabooses l was unaware of, and am trying to capture copies. Found the common Walthers C&NW gas electric kit was a near twin for several other prototype roads' cars, to so may build that kit, after l finish this building.
Not today, but finally took some video's of the overhead layout....

Mike: Thanks. The service pit is made by foam and added led lights. After that painting pit & floor and put some detailing. Then just painting & weathered that Lionel engine house.

Johan, The pit is certainly is effective! The weathering made me not even notice the heritage of the engine house.
Johan, thanks! But now that makes a lot more work for me. I have to reset my bridge's on my lift bridge so I can add foam to the top of the layout! I guess I should have thought of that to began with. Is your foam 2" or thinner?
Had a great meeting with our Tuesday Night Train Crew and got to sign our new host train car. Might have been a record setting night with the number of people we had but that might have been because we were off for 2 weeks. (York week we don't meet, and last week had to be cancelled due to the host house being damaged because a tree fell on his house, (everyone safe but house will take 3 months to repair)) We are starting to commemorate those who open their layouts up for the group and doing a little memento to remember each year.
Yesterday, I removed some troublesome switch tracks, and simplified the track route. Today, I will reconfigure an interior trolley/gang-car track and get about restoring the now unsettled scenic elements.
Bryan, that is so cool you guys can get together! I have 1 person that is near me into trains, but always busy! So I sit up here on a hill all to myself and of course you all on the forum!
I think the car is a great idea, maybe next year you can get to sign it before Paul does! LOL
Picked up a Lionel Intermodal Crane from a fellow Forum member and temporarily hooked it up to the new layout - works great.

Sometimes, I wish that I could run smoke on my layout, but there's a wired in smoke detector right over the middle of it. My beautiful wife doesn't like the smell(s) anyway. So it saves some debates (nice way to say disagreements).

Mike: Thanks. I have also couple bridge project, another is 3D printed lift bridge. I try take pics later today but i warning, they are not ready yet. Yes, I use 2" foam, sometimes even 4".
