Redid handrails on kitbashed (into Vanderbilt) tender for the Lionel #561....this loco
now looks like I want all my locos to look. Now only have to paint tender and decal,
and, maybe, change number and decal loco cab, and this project will be done.

Got the decals on this b unit this weekend and allowed them to completely dry. Man I hate stripes, they are so hard to get straight, and keep straight.
Now I can put it back together and get some light weathering on it to match its leader.
Crossed my fingers, and said a prayer. Last month I oiled an old fan with TriFlo, a high dollar BMX chain lube. I inspected a bike that it was used on for years. No paint, plastic or decal damage and the old chain looked 100% brand new. The fan ran strong for a few weeks solid, never turned it off. I was very impressed and later lubed the drivers/rods on a 2046 Hudson. Earlier today I heard an incredible shriek, and watched the fan grind to a halt. The motors heat had turned this lube to a gunk, then solids formed. It was like glue! A flush of the bearings and real oil brought it back to life. Now I'm thinking about the decision before me... flush, or totally disassemble an original Hudson.
Hello guys and gals..........(up-date)
I decided to do some paint touch ups of the handrails and the area of the valve gear hangers, front cow catcher coupler screw on the Sunset 3rd rail Texan. I am done in touching up the areas using the "TAMYA" # X-18 semi gloss black. The paint matches the Sunset 3rd black engine paint really well, very happy with the results.

Trouble shot why my chuffs and smoke pulses weren't working on pwcs 736 circa 2006/7. Tried software reset of cab1 era setup, but to no avail.
With much trepidation and dread delved into taking shell off of what is a tightly packed chinese made electrical rats nest. Located cherry switch removed smoke assembly then cherry. Figured out that metal lever had fallen off cherry switch assembly. Found metal lever laying on layout. Made a slight adjustment of misaligned legs of lever, installed, reassembled loco and it wouldn't work in command only conv.
Took it apart again fixed issue with antenna reassembled and it ran properly. Felt Good.
Went outside and did some yard work which felt even better.
I recently bought 2 dead Rail King engines that rarely become available. One is a Long Island Rail Road Camelback that is being prepared for display in the park until I get a donor set of PS 2 boards. The other, an Old & Weary Mohawk is en-route to my railroad and it will get a set of PS2 boards I have on hand.
No idea what happened with the fan and tri-flow lube. I started a warning thread but got lots of feedback of use without issues.
Ive been painting my layout, but 3 days ago my new renters dug a MPC Kickapoo set out of their stuff. It hadn't seen light in 15 years. A cheap little set of cars(cheapest I've ever seen) But a quick swap, and my whimsical cab forward dockside now has more appropriate stock to pull, and the Kickapoo looks fine with a couple of bashes behind her. They are both running right now. Cheap does not mean they aren't fun!
Installed a new "Whoosh" sound board and drawbar in/on my Jawn Henry. These are the times I wish for smaller hands/figures!
Sure have to thank Scott Mann and Danny for going the extra mile to get a new board to me in a timely manner.

Hello guys and gals........
I just did some light paint touch ups on my Williams S.F.#623 NW-2's handrail posts (3) using the Tamya #18 semi-gloss paint tonight and it dries well , blends in with the Williams paint job.

I'm adopting a K-line drive from a 4-6-2 into a Lionel 1668 torpedo shell.
