F3...?
Mark in Oregon
I have them in my F3. They are the horizontal motors from the early Lionel F3's before they started using vertical motors........Paul 2
And the gearboxes look like F3 but those truck side-frames are a different animal, aren't they.
Looks like an early Lionel F3 motor and inner trucks kitbashed to Standard Gauge.
If they are off the same engine then it was dual motored. Not F3 side frames. Not GG1 side frames. Unless they are off an ALCO I don't know what they could be. I don't really see a good way that they mount to a frame. A great puzzle.
Yeah, that is the early 2333 F3 motor, the later ones were the same but had a bakelite brush holder. 2333/2343.... same for the motor truck. If it had magnets, its from the 2343, if not, from the 2333
you can motor parts from Jeff Kane at ttender.com
Thank you everyone for the help. Now I know what parts to order. I have used the Train tender for parts before.
Yes, I bought a Standard Gauge GG1 at York. It uses O gauge motors as shown. It was common to put longer axles on O gauge motors to run on Standard Gauge track.

Dennis is correct. I have same motor in an early NYC 2333, no magnatraction.
