How about an Uncoupler Commander? 6 inch flying leads to mount under the layout. This, along with the Switch Commander, would remove the need for just about all the control wiring on my layout! A unit to install in a Fastrack uncoupling section would be great too!

Have you emailed ERR? They are extremely responsive and many of their products can be used for alternate purposes. I would think the Mini Command 2 HC would fit your need. Also, you could use the Lionel 14185 TMCC Operating track controller to run 2 operating tracks or 4 uncoupling sections.
Yes, I am aware of the Mini-Commander, but I was thinking of a dedicated single application (lower cost!) device. I don't really need 4 programmable outputs to run an uncoupling track!
I am currently using a couple of the ASC2 to run my uncouplers.
I suspect that getting something significantly lower cost than the Mini-Commander probably isn't going to happen in any case. I suspect there isn't a pent-up demand for such a product, probably a long shot that they'd consider it.

I don't know. There seems to be enough demand to justify that functionality in a wired product (ASC/ASC2).
Just thought I'd throw it out there. I was thinking about a price point near the Switch Commander, which is quite a bit lower than the Mini-Commander.
I've been hounding Jon, for years now, for TMCC equipped Fastrack uncoupling and operating track sections.
The TMCC Fastrack turnouts are great but they only answer half of the functional need of a serious carpet layout. You have to have uncoupling sections and I'd rather not run wires in temporary floor layouts.

A wired ASC2 is useful for a lot more than just coupling tracks, as well as giving you multiple outputs. I'm not objecting to such a product, just don't think it's going to happen any time soon.
I've been wrong before, maybe this is another example.
