Actually there was probably a flywheel located above the front wheels floating in the curved slot visible on the left, on the right the front of the slot is bent over the front wheel (probably bent to pull the flywheel out). Whether it is Dayton, Clark or Scheible i do not have a guess. This is probably its big brother, it is identified as Dayton

I thought that a Hill Climber toy had to have some sort of mechanism like a flywheel to keep it moving after the person pushing it let go.
I don't see any signs that a mechanism was once there.

Hi CW.... The reason I thought It might be Dayton is because I see the indications of the stone flywheel underneath. It was a flimsy construction, probably the reason it is long gone.
