Oh, right.

Lessee...that $1900-?....that was the price TAG....right?

Did you happen to see the figure on the sales RECEIPT for that same engine after it was sold???

Hmmmm......

I have to take down my layout (designed to see how many trains I could run simultaneously). The new layout will have room for only 1/4 of my engines and cars and I will be offering them for ~ 40% of my purchase price.  Only a couple will not be for sale. Ones that might be difficult to price are SMR engines with TMCC and Proto 2 and Kline engines with Proto2 installed.  The ones that do not sell will be on the layout.  Stay tuned.

I tend to agree with john gunnerman, 60% or less, but then it depends might be a older steam engine which was made better then the new engines  but has the old ps1 or protosound electronics, the thing is sometimes times they are listed as new old stock and unopened, i do believe i would rather have an older engine this is built better then the new one but since i can repair my own locomotives i pay a little more for an engine because the cost of the repair will be only the parts same as John or George might due since we all repair our own engines, look at the last Engine John just finished rebuilding and it pulls better consist then it did when it was new, and he had spare parts from old engines to repair it with. You have to remember this is a hobby and we all enjoy our hobbies especially when we just trouble shoot one of our locomotives and the rewards are watching it run and hearing all the great sound come out when the repairs are finished.

The Joy of our hobby's so let all enjoy our trains!
