What train stuff did you get for Christmas 2024 ?

This should keep me busy for a while

Early Christmas present to myself; the scale PRR turbine from 1991.

Nothing yet.  Got a  shipping notice from  Charles Ro.

Successfully avoided the temptation and held the new Lionel E6 units back until Christmas.  My son’s new sw1200 switcher is in the background.

Well I gifted "myself" these two century old American Flyer cast iron clockwork loco's.

The first is a #10 with tender from 1925

The second one, slightly larger is the #13 from 1923.

Mine arrive tomorrow in the form of Atlas CZ cars in Amtrak to add to my growing CZ car collection.  A dome-coach, dome-lounge-dorm, and a 6-5 sleeper.  I'm really excited as I'm down to a diner, baggage car, and an observation to complete that train in Amtrak. Photos when they arrive.

My daughter, Karen, 3D printed a White Castle building for me!

I'll detail it and put it on the layout this week - I already found a space for it (believe it or not!)

I gifted myself with the Lionel UP GP9. My lovely girlfriend gave me this cool Christmas card with a steam locomotive that looks 3D when you open the card and a steam engine wood kit after we agreed no presents this year. It was quite a surprise.

If it survived a couple of moves, I have one from the PRSL Atlantic City line.

The Lionel 6464 was my favorite car as a child. I’ve had it for 60 years. The Lionel PS 1 was a Christmas gift.
