How about some new cabooses? The K-line tooling is available. Make a bay-window, extended vision, and the woodside cupola cabooses. Also do the shorty bay window caboose as well-would make an excellent shortline/transfer caboose.

For a new tool, a GP-30 would be nice. Use the GP 9 frame and running gear-might be able to use the GP 38 fuel tank as well.

Just a simple chugging sound powered by a 9V battery. Nothing that great. The newer versions are better. I took one out of a 4-6-0 and put it in my G scale shay to give it some sound.
A deck for their Plasticville metal truss bridge kits. The deck need not have cast-in facing for three-rail O; as a matter of fact, it would be preferable if it didn't. Such a bridge would not only appeal to three-railers, but also guys and gals modeling in two-rail O, S scale, Sn3, On3 and On30.

Oh, boy...Before Bachmann acquired Williams I was at a train
convention and saw Bachman Shays or Climaxes in On30. In
addition to begging puh-leeze make these danged things in On3
AND in O 3 rail, the two guys there said it ain't ever gonna happen..we aren't getting into 3 rail. Now they own Williams and
have made a couple of nice small 3 rail engines I need to find and look at (still have to correct all their logging stuff to On3,
and none of it yet is in O 3 rail).
1. Williams should offer all the Bachmann logging equipt. in 3
rail and On3. (not sure about On3 market but I betcha the 3
rail market is bigger than On30!) Hey, how much extra tooling,
at least for superstructures, would that be?
2. Think they have a Mikado and a Ten-Wheeler. Moguls and
Consolidations logically would follow, and how about that
Little River 2-4-4-2 small articulated all the other manufacturers
have refused to build in 3 rail for years? Wouldn't that run on
small layout curves? At least two versions of those have come in brass 2 rail, and 3 or more in HO...why we are discriminated against? We have as good a taste in prototypes as these other
scales!!....
3. Like K-Line, with a few, once did...make some tenders for
separate sale..coal fired Vanderbilts (maybe with changeable
fuel areas to include oil tanks for the SP guys), in several
lengths, and box tenders in long haul and short versions. Those
nice photos of the Lionel and Williams tender switch on here should
show the way...

I'm with you 100% on this one. Look at their great On30 engines - reasonable prices, great detail, smooth-running mechanisms without electronic corrections. Nobody is doing stuff like that in 3-rail; I predict WBB would clean house if they did that. I would absolutely be in for a 2-4-4-2! How about a Baldwin stock 2-6-2?
i woulden.t count on much coming out -i sent them a email to add a cab interior
with enginner figures in their f3,e7's,e8's etc to make them more desirable to buy and received a email back that theydid not think it possible or needed.
what would it cost them-7-8.00 more which the cost would pass on to us -of course-nothing looks worse than a nice engine with a motor exposed in the window.
The O Scale version of a 50' Double-Door Box Car with the doors centered like on the GUNDERSON 5200 Box Car, which is made by ExactRail in N Scale.
Roads offered include Minneapolis, Northfield & Southern, Northern Pacific, Southern Pacific, Missouri Pacific, Cotton Belt, SL-SF Frisco, L&N.

That way they can also offer the Soo Line 50' Double-Door box cars with centered door that were used for wood chip service.

Andrew
when the TMCC became available as John says maybe make the engins ready for a plug and play Hopefully Williams and other Can use it, until then there is some things they can start with, New scale passenger cars, full length cars, some scale boxcars, some military flats with scale 1/48 1/50 equipment. complete better Caranary system, new trolly roads/citys, Philadelphia,DC...
New buildings, track and roads systems for super streets.
The last time I bought a cell phone - there were about two jillion different 'covers' I could get for it. Everything from chocolate smelling to casino royale.

I don't know if it would even be a viable business pursuit for the big three - but having the option to purchase a fully decorated pair of shells for the F's and E's could serve as an entry point to the additional purchase of specific cars to complement. Not much tech support needed for a box, tanker, or passenger car. I'd even wager the return rate for those would be pretty much close to zero.

Does anybody already do this in O?

1. Keep doing what you are doing..it works and is profitable

2. The suggestion of adding a plug so that a command system board may be added has merit; but in keeping with simple and inexpensive, how about a pair of hook-up wires with caps.

3. Unmarked versions. You already do that with your other products so you already know how to do it.

4. Offer upgraded sound and horn boards for separate sale. The MRC product would be a good choice.

Absolutely. I agree. Leave well enough alone is my take on it but if you MUST rock the boat the above are reasonable suggestions. All these suggested changes will do is put an end to the sole remaining affordable source of simple, reliable trains.

I guess every one missed this but just make the Mikado you were going to make.
Don't worry about TMCC or plug and play ERR boards are easy enough to put in any way.
This is a major buy killer for me and the reason I didn't buy their 10 wheeler.
DO NOT MAKE ANOTHER ENGINE WITH SLIP TABS ON THE SIDE RODS. I would pay the little extra cost for ones that are riveted. It makes an otherwise beautiful engine look cheesy .
And DO put concentric side rods on the Mike.
