Let me be the first to reply. Count me in. When you say scale 3 rail, do you mean fixed pilots with long handrails? If so, definitely count me in. I only buy MTH diesels with fixed pilots.

I could pair the GP-40 with this MTH gem. ACY, W&LE, whatever.....same road now anyway. Notice the fixed pilots and the long handrails. I could use more W&LE motive power.

Yes Pat, I would also be very interested in a fixed pilot 3 rail version also.  What's the chance of non-powered units also!  That's probably pushing it, LOL!

Did I miss a ballpark price point??? A little hard to commit without.....but as a D&RGW fan and a fan of WV RR's I do like these locos.  Interested.....with conditions! Good luck either way!

Assuming we are looking at later this year, not sometime, someday, and at within +\- 5% of the ball park price mentioned, no surprise they actually will cost $75.00 more.

I might be interested in a pair of scale wheel models.

Guys, I have a verbal confirmation for these engines from MTH and we will do the Hi-rail and Scale versions. More information to follow. We hope for a Dec. delivery.

will scale wheel version and hi Rail version have different road numbers or are the three road numbers same for both versions?

It's funny, because #301, #304, & #305 I've gotten on video of all 3. Check them out below. And also #301, #304, & #305 are all a GP40-3, but doing it as a GP40 is fine, no big deal. It's still a GP40 to me. Sometimes I still think they look like a GP38. Maybe they could use my videos for each engine for the horn sounds.

Pat, are you taking pre orders and do you have prices,details,cab #'s, better confirmation of delivery date,and WILL THESE ALSO BE RELEASED IN 2 RAIL?

I'm seriously thinking about "taking one for the team" on this one -- scale wheels/fixed pilots. I kinda have a weak spot for branch lines and this is particularly striking.

Pat, awesome project.  So far I've held off on purchasing any W&LE motive power.  The paint scheme for this road is so striking and GP40s are great looking locomotives.  So, please count me in.  Hi-rail...#305 for me.  THANKS PAT!!!

Just noticed your mention of a non-powered unit.  I'd be in for one of those as well.

Love the paint scheme. Could probably mix it in with my Rio Grande units and I'll very few would notice.

Hi Pat,

W&LE runs thru my area her in N.Ohio. I'd also be interested in 3 rail locos.

But I'm wondering, is there any way to have the dummy unit made with electrocouplers

and directional lighting? Those two items make a dummy unit much more desirable,

even if it costs a little more. 

Since these are only 4 axle diesels, shouldn't be a problem to have fixed pilots on the

three rail models. After all, were talking scale here and not very many guys operate

scale on O36. Just suggesting.
