Early 2000 may be even 1999 or 98 before had Dallee electronics.
A quick check, some of the first SW9's that I purchased with TMCC and electro-couplers are dated 1999, bottom of speaker housing/fuel tank.
It was year 2000 with the introduction of the EMD sd35 that ushered in tmcc/ railsounds for Atlas O locos. Prior locos that received the Dalee electronic reverse and sound was the AEM7 and the first issue sw8/9.
Yes, My Pennsy SD35's have 2000 on the fuel tank. They are also TMCC. By 2002 an RS-1 models would have the first EOB speed control.
Is Atlas still using TMCC? I have new Atlas engine on order and want to know if it can be accessed for command control with DCS or not. I know I can run it in conventional but am curious to know if it will work with DCS.

Yes Lee as far as i know they are still using TMCC and ERR.
I think Train America Studios once provided Atlas with TMCC boards. I think the "SAW" in their SAW boards stood for Sunset, Atlas, Weaver.
Wow, am I glad I took a look at this topic. I did not know some Atlas engines had TMCC in them. I will remember that when looking for engines to buy. Did they all have TMCC, or do you have to check to make sure.
TMCC is still available in Atlas O engines. At York I spoke to their team. They plan to continue was what I was told. But anything can happen
You need to check. There are conventional Trainman locos, and I'm pretty sure there are even some 2-rail TMCC floating around too.
