Where to find a Caboose Lantern Jewel?

Just the jewel??? Hobby Lobby or other craft store carry a bunch.....

Would it be identical?

If this is one piece plastic and has a square insert I believe the only source is a repro parts dealer like Jeff Kane at ttender.com the better ones are plastic the cheaper ones are cast  resin. Jeff usually stocks the better items.

Just to say: Hobby Lobby and the like have much in the way of jewelry supplies,

much of which can be used in modeling. Jewels, wire, little round and square thingys.

And one might actually get to talk to a girl!

Thanks, Gerry but the part I need sticks sideways into the caboose wall.  The picture shows the part going down.  My caboose is Lionel 6-6920

TB, the picture is not an accurate representation. That is the part you are looking for.  Regardless of who you end up ordering the part from the shipping will be considerably more that cost of that one part. 

Try searching eBay for Lionel Marker. There are few styles there.
