Where to find a 414 Pennsylvania Baggage Car?

11-40010. unique to MTH. not available on product locator.

400 MSRP street price was about 350.

I need the Girard Baggage car in brass on the cheap.

MTH only made this stuff recently.

That is a tough one. I looked for over a year and everybody I talked to in the local train club crowd had never even seen one for sale. A few weeks ago, one came up and ebay for a buy it now of like $400 shipped or something. I didn't care to much about the price, just it the button and waited patently by the front door. I now have 8 out of the 9, only lacking the Maryland car. So if you see one and it is within your grasp, grab it.

I was lucky picked up a brown one on e-bay for 350 a few years ago.

The Green Maryland car comes up on e-bay often. Anywhere between $175 and $225.

I always questioned why MTH named the car Pennsylvania when they already made a Pennsylvania add on car.

They should make a State RPO car.

I agree completely and have been making that same suggestion to MTH for years.  In my mind I envision MTH making a simple "mailbag accessory system" possible similar to the RPO mounted clip-on mailbag retriever and trackside mailbag hanger system sold by American Flyer.

with the windows, calling this car an RPO or even a head-end crew car would make a lot more sense.

I sent a message to MTH about the car, to see if they still carry it or if they can point me towards any dealers that do.
