I am seeking some advice as to what I should do now that I’ve outgrown my 3 port plug and play extension.. I’ll be adding a 4th feature and I’m not sure what I want to do!
For some context, I am using a ZW-L transformer, so power is not a problem, it’s just how I want to distribute it. I have been using the fast track plug and play port to tap in to the track power for my accessories. From what I am reading, I should stop being lazy and utilize one of the other 3 free levers on the ZW-L to make sure the proper voltage is being provided to the accessories, for both longevity sake and the added ability to dim or brighten things up.
My first instinct was to just purchase another 3 way extension, and have 2 empty ports. But I like the idea 1 lever controlling my 4 modest accessories (3 of which are just light ups, 1 is light a sound) Doesn’t seem like much of an “overload” situation, but again, I am an amateur on a good day!
Before I go any further, I may be way off base and this may be some cardinal sin- but can I plug a 3 plug extension in to another 3 plug extension for this purpose? 🤔 Or should I start cutting plugs and wiring this all under the table to some centralized unit I am unaware of..
Hope this makes sense, thanks in advance!
