Hi everyone.  I have several "whistle only" MTH Railking steam engines from the late 1990s.  They are not PS1 or Locosound - they only have just the whistle.  (The ones I have are a Wabash P1 Hudson, a C&O L1 Hudson, and a PRR K4 Pacific.)  I like them very much and they all run well, but I find the whistle sound to be much too loud in all of them when I activate it (with the whistle button on a Z-1000 controller), to the point of annoying.  I'd like to lower the volume at least by half.  As best I can tell, however, none of them have any sort of volume control inside the tender.  Or is there a hidden volume dial somewhere?  If there is no volume control, aside from simply not using the whistle, what would be the easiest way to lower its volume?  I'm not a electronics whiz, but I can certainly strip wire and solder.

Many thanks,

Matt
