Some more catches from various days at Rochester, on the Fort Wayne Line just west of Conway Yard. Though the hoped for C40-8M did not appear, there was plenty of action, including a train going into emergency, a (rare for this part of NS) SD70ACU in non-helper service, and a visitor from the west.

Part 4 of the 3-heritage day 5-part series...not exactly earth-shattering, either of these trains were (even their horns were the same), but whiteface Dash 9s are only going to get rarer as some are retired for scrap and the rest rebuilt and repainted. Filmed 25 November 2020.

Nice to see the police car (maybe two) in the vacant land under the overpass......was it "donut time" ???

Great spot to catch the train movement Dan. The only long freight trains we have here in Queensland, Australia are coal trains coming out of central Queensland open-cut mines to export ports along the coastline.

Really enjoy watching your videos.

The police cars were actually my car and that of other railfans (the first video was shot across two days); the area under the overpass is a great parking spot that allows us to quickly get back on the highway if we decide to chase a train. Even if the trains are long, the power is somewhat ho-hum; at least in Australia there is potential for EMD and Alco power, at least from what I have seen on YouTube. Thank you!

love the engine sounds on the first one! Thanks for sharing. Always great.

Thank you Joe! Westbounds on track 2 always sound pretty good getting up to speed.

Here's a better cropping of 55K passing the 11,000-foot long 12Q.

This was the gathering when the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern heritage unit and a GECX prototype ET44AC came through on a westbound oil train. There were three other cars on my side of the tracks, or all told, about fifteen people.
