Is Lionel servicing the CAB2 through the warranty service center?  If so is the turn around faster or about the same as the engine backlog right now?  Who also services the CAB2 remote.  I have one remote that  the red knob binds and sometimes causes the speed to decrease when increasing speed.  The other will lose power and with a gentle tap power up (probably a solder joint.

I called Lionel about 2 weeks ago, my 990 is completely dead. They gave me an RA number, said they are quite busy and would send an email with the shipping info and pre-paid label when they were closer to being able to work on it. Probably a couple weeks or so they said.

So, it looks like the turn around time might be a bit lengthy right now, I'm still waiting for the email.
