I saved this photo from here on the OGR forum because it was very inspirational for me. PRR trains running in the city. The layout builder owner would post updates on a regular basis......but when I stumbled onto the photo today I realized I had not seen any postings in a long while. I hope I'm not opening a sad story of why no updates.....but does anyone know who the builder is and if they are still in the hobby???Thx.....

I clicked on this just out of curiosity and spent the next ten minutes laughing.   To answer your questions: No sad story here--at least I choose to believe so.  Yes, I know the builder-- and have for over six decades  And yes; he is still in the hobby -- albeit has gone over to the dark side. That is my old layout, around 2006.  Some more photos appear below.

I have since taken it down and am building a 2 rail layout. Same basic theme.  This is the newest version of the scene you posted.

And thanks for the kind words!

One more favor John......I am in the room prep stage of my new layout. I have a track plan but it's always under review. After looking at your photos again I still see where your 3 rail layout seems better than my current plan. I have a 14x26 foot space....seems maybe near what you had...but I am not able to get the trackage AND the look you did. Do you have a track plan that might help define my plan??? Many Thanks
