Anyone know off-hand if the Williams 6 wheel trucks are interchangeable between the Alco PAs and the scale GG1s?
I'm assuming that we can adapt the respective side frames in some way. I have a non-powered GG1 and would like to use the power trucks from a PA and swap them out.
I vaguely remember that only a few power trucks are used by Williams in all of their locomotives grouped by wheel arrangement...

Depends on where the blind or non-flanged wheel is located, as the wheel spacing determines if you can up-grade or not using another set of motors.
Went to the Bachmann site and could not locate an up-grade kit for use with a GG-1. So it might be trial and error on your part.

Like Lee said, I looked at their 2011 catalog and they list center wheel blind trucks (P/N 00243, for PA, E7, EP5) and rear wheel blind trucks (P/N 00242, for SD45, DASH 9, FM TrainMaster, U33C, SD90,FP45, and EF-4 Rectifier), but nothing for the GG1.

To the best of my memory, I have tried this and couldn't do it, because the trucks were different.
A machine shop guy possibly could, but with my limited knowledge, I couldn't.
