So here's the deal; I removed both trucks (power & dummy) from my "bought-it-used" Williams single motor 5883 Conrail, and promptly lost one of the truck mounting screws. I think this was originally a two motor unit, if I can judge by the cut wires that are still visible. If that's true, someone went to the trouble to obtain a dummy truck, complete with motor mount and contact roller and assemble it to this engine. Or it may be a factory job, I've heard they did that.
The problem is this - although both motor mounts appear to be identical, one has a larger thread diameter on the truck mounting screw - and that's the screw I lost! The motor mount with the smaller screw is a M3.5 screw (unsure of length) but I don't know the diameter/thread of the larger screw. I would order what the Williams docs show, but I don't know which screw I will get!
This is what my documentation shows:
1-30140DPM Truck Mounting Screw
293-10-03BR1 Motor Mount
Any help here?
