Hi,
I need a parts source for Williams scale heavyweights. I checked the Bachmann site and they don't have any parts for at all for the scale heavyweights. Brasseur was a no-go as well. I just received a set of heavyweights with matching sharks and one of the cars has a broken truck. I knew about it when I bought it. I was hoping for an easy fix, but it is not repairable.

If you can not find a replacement the coupling may be repairable. It will depend where the break is and maybe if you have all the parts. I have repaired couplings with J B Weld and sometimes using pieces of thin tin fro reinforcements.

Charlie, the sideframes are broken off the truck frame. One of them is in two pieces. I thought about using JB weld but I would rather replace it. JB weld is a last resort if I can't find one.

I fixed a 6 wheel from the heavy weights truck with JB but i lost the plastic bearing and haven't found any .

Go to EBAY and search for Williams replacement parts and spares, contact potential prospects web sites for what they have for sale or what you are looking for, they may be able to help you. About 6 months ago I had to replace a side frame on Williams PA diesel, purchased a used one and repainted it black. Trying to fix/repair these side frames is difficult since they fracture easily, I do not know if JB Weld will work as a permanent repair or short term fix, failure was not zinc rot.
