I'm curious as to the pros and cons of the Williams Steam Turbine

Pro: Inexpensive
It's a Williams, so it is virtually bulletproof.
Cons: Not Scale
Conventional only
You will never be able to finance your retirement when you resell it.
Pros: The usual Williams bulletproof construction obtains. It's a stump puller.
Cons: The smoke unit on mine is a bit drippy.
Runs too fast, like most Wms die-cast steam. I have one for a future bizarro project, though. Always were cute as a button.
FYI:
When I got mine years ago it would not run; I run command, but I did want to test its basic functionality. No go. Lit up; no go. I called Wms, and was asked if I had a lighted lockon (no - I'm a Hi-railer) or a lighted (incandescent) car on the track. He said put one on - and it ran. Those reversing units had an impedance issue when there was not a light bulb in the circuit (shades of early DCS).
The loco headlight was an LED, so that didn't count.

I will be running conventional exclusively, as I am planning a Post-War type layout.
Ditto to the above comments - wish I could add prime mover sounds, though - also smoke unit pretty much sucks - guess I am getting spoiled by MTH steamers
