Do to an accidental mishap, the WIU power source adaptor got damaged. What would be a good replacement?

Anything 5V 1A rated with the correct mini (not micro) USB connector. An old phone charger comes to mind.
Hoping, praying you didn't rip the connector traces off the motherboard.

No, it’s just the wall plug adaptor, I’ll have to start searching for another power source with the right output and connector.

This is a repair I've seen about ten times so far. It's by far the most common failure of the WIU. I have new jacks to replace the broken jack, and I also JB-Weld them to the board so they're more robust. The original factory soldering job was sub-standard to say the least!

You can buy a Micro-USB cable from Amazon for a few bucks, and the USB bricks are a dime a dozen. Nothing special about the power adapter.
