I did! I made 4 brass H/L assemblies with 2 LEDs in each light. Got them painted and installed and they looked great. Applied power and locos ran beautifully and in concert all 8 H/L LEDs blew at once! In all that building and wiring I forgot the resistors!!!! Makes a guy feel pretty dumb!
Well, back to the workbench, good thing LEDs are cheap!

You should use the Evan Design LED's with prewired components, great value and they work.

Yes, Back in 1973, or thereabouts, a bunch of frat brothers decided to go swimming in the New River. We were students at West Virginia Institute Of Technology, Montgomery WV. We drove to Gauley Bridge at the C&O bridge over the New River. We all (minus 1, he had to drive the car back to wher he would pic us up) walked out onto the bridge and 1 by1 jumped into the river. As soon as I stepped off, I sobered up immediatelly. Yes that was stupid!
