Columbo is back on the job.  He and all the scenery around him has been off and in a box for about two weeks while I made revisions on the mountain/Raton Pass end of the layout.  Those changes are done now and everything there is back in place and buttoned up.

I checked and it was just about a year ago that I first put him on the layout - right around Thanksgiving time (I had to make his car - could not find a convertible and had to modify a Peugeot panel wagon).  Here he is at the Creedance Clearwater Brewery.  The case involves the theft of the roast turkey for the brewery's holiday banquet, brazenly stolen right out the the brewery's kitchen.  Columbo is confronting the person he knows has stolen it - the old man down the road.

Excuse me, Mr. Willis. I know your busy and I don't want to take up any more of your time, but there is one more thing...

That's a great job with the scenery...and the CCR/Tom Fogarty reference.

I don't have Alice's Restaurant.  It would be a cool thing to ad, though.  I need to think about it . . . . I mostly go for detectives or hero cops and "Obie" clearly doesn't fit either category!

Now I'm not going to be able to get that dang song out of my mind all day!

Thought I would post a few pictures of my friend Jan's layout.  He lives a few miles from my house and I just discovered him recently!!  He has done a superb job on his scenes....You need to right click on the pictures and the click on "open link in new window" and you will get a full 16x9 detailed view...

Here is the first one..."busy downtown"
