I have several lionel mpc 072 switches that have motors that work in one direction or not at all.when I replace the switches with my old postwar 022 motor assemblies everything works. Can the mpc motors assemblies be repaired or they junk? If they are repairable please advise how!!

Are you using the fixed voltage plugs or track wiring??? Sometimes the contacts on the bottom of the switch have to be raisedd up a bit to get goo contact from the seitch machine and the switch motor its self....

I am using track current no voltage plug. These are MPC switches and it seems like they will work in one direction right or left but not both. When one won't work in one direction I can't get that particular direction anti derailment feature to work either.
