I just unboxed a Command Control Keystone Smoke Fluid loader, 6-83634, that I bought years ago and am having an issue. I programmed the unit as an accessory, The fill arm rotates fine in the clock-wise direction (even with the Cab-3 controller!), but it barely moves at all counterclockwise. It's not running into the limit switch(es), int just moves very, very slowly.

Anyone seen this behavior? Any thoughts on how to repair?

Thanks,

One thought- reading the manual it suggests 18V AC is the best voltage- is that what you are powering it with?

I'm just guessing, but some accessories need AC power to internally make both positive and negative voltages and being the spout motor is a geared DC can motor- it would need equal voltage to go both directions.

Installing your accessory
Installing your Smoke Fluid Loader on your layout
Begin installation by connecting the Smoke Fluid Loader to your layout’s accessory power supply.
The accessory is designed to work best on continuous 18 Volts AC. Use the Plug-n-Play connector
to attach a FasTrack Power Lock-on (6-81313 or 6-81314) or use the pigtail wire extension to connect
the accessory terminals on your transformer.

I have it plugged in directly to my track using the Plug and play connector. I've installed it on a test layout, which consists of 5' of track, 1 engine, and a Lion Chief 72 watt power supply. The rotation speed clockwise is good, it's just the rotation in the opposite direction direction.
