Since the discussion regarding "models" versus "toys", and the Bud Light parody, I thought I'd post a 1951 film showing three-rail trains in the positive light they were depicted in back then. I believe that the Lionel sequences were shot in the NYC Showroom. Many of our favorite trains and accessories are shown.

Thank you for the positive. I love that short film. Have watched it more times than I can count. Got my copies from TM books and video years ago.
I have a 16mm print of this film. It's wonderful to watch. What I find interesting about this film is it comes from so many other films and times. The Lionel parts are from a lot of other promo films as is the real railroad footage. Thanks for posting. Don
Great film. Just watched with a nice cup hot coffee on the deck. Boy that takes me back. Also love that background music. Great way to start the day.
Are there any Lionel corporation films from 1956 also does anyone have pics of 1956 layouts from Lionel?
