The tree is great! I guess as long as you hear the bell he will keep coming. Merry Christmas and thanks for a great thread. Are you watching Heartland?

"Very nice photo's of your tree and presents.  I assume that is your Daylight Cab Forward under the tree"

Sure is Ken. I have to tell you, this is one beautiful engine. And thanks to Charles Ro who got it out immediately, we were able to place it under the Christmas Tree as planned. I sure was cutting it close as Santa (UPS guy) was walking up the driveway at 2:50 PM yesterday. Elizabeth was greatly relieved.

I will post photos from the layout shortly.

Thanks for your comments. We both appreciate them very much. Actually we were watching a Hallmark Christmas movie called a Shepard's Christmas. If you like dogs and Christmas, this is a good one.

Brian

I didn't catch the Hallmark Channel logo at first. We like watching Heartland on the UP network. At this point I have grown tired of ABC Family , UP, The Hallmark  Channel , and a couple of other channels showing Christmas movies.( 3 kids ). Don't get me wrong, It just would of nice to have seen Christmas in Connecticut , Its a Wonderful  life and a few others. Well there are the dvds.Once again Merry Christmas

Sidewinder:

First, congratulations, you are the 500th poster to this year's Christmas Photo Album Thread. I don't recall in the past seeing such a volume and so many great Christmas photographs.

Also, thanks to you and your wife for the compliments about our Christmas Tree. Elizabeth works hard to make it really special. And your wife has a keen eye. The jewelry boxes are actually from Jared's (she loves Levian).

You are too kind, Sir. As a new guy, it has been fun contributing and soaking in all the fantastic posts in this thread. Personally, irrespective of the gift part, all the pictures really elevated my Christmas mood (Alex and Dina's cookies made me lick my chops!).

Agreed; the Levian line is fantastic.

Your Christmas tree really caught our eye; Elizabeth's style remind's me of my Mom's later in life. Your picture brought back many wonderful memories.

I'm a little late as I have been helping my mom recover from knee replacement, but here is our Christmas layout.

As our story opens, Santa is distraught as a catastrophic skid failure has grounded his sleigh for Christmas!  The Polar Express, already at the North Pole, loads up with gifts to take up the slack as elves quickly get to work on the skid repair.  However, as magical and powerful as the Polar Express is, she simply can't muster all the steam required to get ALL the gifts delivered for Christmas Morning.  Luckily, the yard dispatches the close-by Pere Marquette 1300 from her shunting yard and loads her with magic coal and more storage for the gifts in transit.  It took several trips, but the Polar Express 1225 and Pere Marquette 1300 finish gift distribution just in time for a bright glorious Christmas.

Thanks Dave, Carl & Alan!

Dave, those are mainly 060 curves.  There may be a few 072s thrown in there as well.

I've found that with carpet layouts, the track must yield when working around heavy furniture.

The bus is under the house and the feeders are dropped through the carpet and sub floor to it.

Jen wants to add a ceiling layout as well.  (I LOVE that woman!)

Yes Volphin, that is a very well done video.  The opening with the PE slowly starting really grabs you.  Then it is moving faster and faster on the way to the Pole.  The PM freight is a great addition as well.  Thank you so much for taking the time to post.

My wife too suggested a ceiling level railroad.  I have shelves up on 3 of 4 walls, but will have to wait until next winter to finish because of upcoming surgery on my left hand.  30 years of my trains; yes I love my wife too!!

Thank you Mark!  My favorite part is the opening scene showing a conductor presenting a child with a toy train.  Best $2 I ever spent!

Maybe we should collaborate on each other's new ceiling layout...
