It appears that Big Boy 4014 has now had two successful trips (Ogden and the Midwest) since her years long restoration.  But I would like to hear more from the crew or other insiders on how she did performance/reliability wise.  Are there any adjustments or modifications to be made based on lessons learned during those trips?  Especially since 4014 was converted to oil.

I love all the pictures and videos that have been posted here since May!  And it looks like 4014 had great support and crowds where ever she stopped.  Congrats to UP and the steam crew!

I look forward to pictures and videos of the Big Boy's forthcoming trip west.

AT first it was a "Big Boy" then a "Big Dude", now a she?

All steam locomotives are generally referred to as "She"! Just like aircraft, ships/boats, and race cars, etc.. The working men and women of the Union Pacific Railroad didn't call them "big boy" either, as they were the 4000 class, or 800 class, or 9000 class, or 3900 class, etc., etc., etc.
