It is well done. Just about flawless on my computer.
It seems to me your fireman does a good job with a clean smoke or a little bit. When the engine is throwing black smoke what is the crew doing?
Black smoke is usually when we are adding heavy amounts of coal to the fire. We try to run with a "clean" stack or with a light grey coming out of the stack.
Sometimes it's necessary for black smoke and then sometimes it's for show as in photo charters and runbys.
