Excellent train and photography. Looks so real.

In my continuing efforts to sort through and organize all the trains stored in the basement, I came upon a box of die cast coal hoppers from the CC II - an add on for the Pennsy Baldwin Sharks. The boxes for the individual cars are still unopened and still in their plastic bags (didn’t have a layout when I purchased them). This is one of the cars from the set...

And their off to the races!!! An experimental D&H passenger train (which failed spectacularly) passes through the Poconos, making stops at Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, Schenectady, and Saratoga Springs. With connecting service to Albany, Montreal, Anaheim, Azusa, and Cucamonga The train is headed by a 3rd Rail ALCO PA, and the consist is a set of NOS Lionel 15” aluminum cars from 2003 I picked up the other day.

It would be great to get an update on this project, that's an excellent job you've done
maybe even show off your process? only if you have the time of course
I have a nice Delaware and Hudson BEEP, though I know that that diesel never really existed. :-)
@Ben’s Trains, I wish I had progress to report! Since then I’ve moved, built a new layout, etc. I have also been dithering on paint colors.

Cool paint job on the D&H BEEP.
John,
Guess whose frame and motor is underneath that Beep shell. :-)

I have a pretty good idea.
Finally got myself a D&H steamer... and it fits well with my recently found love of small steamers!!! This is one of the new Lionel Camelback 2-6-0’s. It is nicely detailed (and the smoke box isn’t shocking gray)!!! The side of the cab says it is a D-3b, and the D&H did run a number of D-3b’s, but #810 was actually an E-3a 2-8-0. Luckily, I’m not a rivet counter... especially since this model has a lot of rivets

Thanks, Joe. I like the sound... I plan on doing a short video in the next day or so running my new Legacy version next to my old TMCC set from 2003 (can’t believe they are 18 years old!!!).
