Here is a pic and a short video of a Bowman Models 234 locomotive getting a test run before I sent it on to a friend for his very first live steam locomotive.   Both model 234's were donated by a very generious gentleman from another forum.  I was looking for a model for my autistic friend who is on fixed income.(he is in his mid 20's).  Huge model train and live steam fan like myself, just a bit further on the spectrum than I am.  This gentleman said he wanted to send my friend the red engine and was sending me one as well.   The red steamer will pull his Harry Potter train once I find a tender for it.   The LNER version joins my Bassett Lowke Super Enterprise, also in LNER colors.   I have added a 3rd rail to my G scale raised garden line so I can now run O gauge live steam/clockwork and battery powered electric models.   Enjoy the pic and video!    AD

Thanks!!   Had a friend over tonight so I could help him set valve timing on his Aster Schools class engine.  We ran both my Bowman 234 and my Bassett Lowke Super Enterprise as well with a after dark run with the Super E.  Was very hot and humid outside leading to a few flareups of the vaporizing burner on the Super E.  It really needs a wick style burner instead of the vaporizing style.
