Patrick, Mark, Paul and Walt you guys sure are keeping this page going and thank you for that! It is nice to come and see other folks layouts and how they make them real!
Maybe when I get my new layout up I will get to the point of sharing the new settings! LOL

Great photos Randy! Looks like they could use some more help! LOL
FOR TODAY:
B&O Dockside 97 crawls forward on the service track and will stop at the oil tank to take on fuel for this morning's switching duties. Docksiders were saddle tank engines that originally burned oil as their fuel source.

shows 3 family members houses that I built a model of. That white one is my parents'. I give my Dad credit (I think) because he trusted me enough to let me climb a ladder to work on tiles on that upper roof. That's what this scene is supposed to represent.

That could’ve been my son last week. PSEG knocked out the NJT Gladstone line. All the train crews were bused to Hoboken. Near the end of the shift they were told a bus would pick them up at Summit for the return trip to Gladstone to sign out. Bus never showed, they grabbed a ride. Long day; but the good news was he was off the next day because he wouldn’t be rested per the rules.

Took this picture several years ago from the passenger seat of my brother's car moving along in the Deerfield, MA area. Many years later when I started my O Gauge layout, I came across the Atlas version of the same caboose. I should have bought it that day, but passed it by only to try to purchase it later on...too late it was gone!

FOR TODAY: " Looking back to April 2020 .... a Precious Rare Commodities Train arrives in Patsburg on Team Track 1 " The unloading crew is aghast at the size of the roll!! Jellybean Culhain exclaimed " Holy Jasper!!! We all been needin TP but with a much needed huge rare load that size uh commin into town there should be a band playing music!" With a big smile on his face Buzzie Burton replied " Yep! Maybe we could get that band The Safari's to play their hit Wipe Out!" ... just another day on the railroad.

FOR TODAY: It's the weekend! Butch Krueger and Pick Semple have the weekend off. This morning they cleared brush at Pick's cabin. This afternoon they'll sit back, drink some home-brew, and watch a baseball game on TV.
AND of course some people have to work this weekend ... here we see Junior Mills and Skylar Hillis who've been working since 7 a.m. this morning filling junk gons. Working on the weekend sucks and it ain't nuttin but a load of scrap!!

Morning guys, wonderful photos! I am sorry I dont have any new ones of my layout as everything is still in boxes! LOL

Mike, John’s town and mine are fantastic. His curved street is a great inspiration. With coal mining being a big part of the economy in my area for well over a century, it is something to consider adding to the layout. As if I have room to add anything else. 😄

Hi Mark, I agree! He has an AMAZING layout, and I was so lucky to see it. It was a 9-hour drive to his house so my brother-in-law and I went out Saturday and came home Sunday! The reason I went to is John had my TT and some well cars that I had bought to help a friends wife liquidate her late husband's layout. @farmerjohn and @leapinlarry are really some great people! They go out of their way to help those in need and have some of the biggest hearts! John said it was ok for me to post photos of his layout, so here you go!.
It was well worth the drive! Heck just meeting John was exciting, I can't wait to go back and hope to make it down to Larry's layout one day!

I agree @leapinlarry has stepped up before and he’s doing it again. I wasn’t aware of @Farmer John doing the same; but Kudos to him as well. I experienced the challenge first hand quite a few years ago; it’s just what we do for friends. Thanks for sharing the great photos.

Thanks so much for posting photos of John's amazing work here Mike. Noticed the Super O track in the mine. Does he use it anywhere else on the layout? It looks GREAT with the ballast and the setting!
Mike thanks for sharing pics from your trip to Farmer John's. He's posted plenty of photos here on the forum but you posted some views of his layout that I don't recall seeing before. Those bridges are magnificent. And I second your words about John and Larry. They truly are golden assets to the model railroad community.

HI Sam, I am not sure where else he uses the Super O track. You would have to ask him, or I try and look over some of the photos @leapinlarry posted.
