The "Chief" pulling into the North Main Street station...
I had noticed the Super O track in Farmer John's mine in a previous post. I asked the same question that C. Sam did but don't recall seeing an answer from John.
FOR TODAY: The morning fog is lifting as the final cars of a mine run trundles by. Rear end brakeman Ernest Crouch rides the front deck of the bobber caboose.

This Howard Johnson, several cars, and lots of figures were gifts from a friend. Not 1/48 scale but I still find a way to use them in the back of the layout so the size isn't a deterrent.

FOR TODAY: Crabs and beer are a Maryland go to on these hot and humid days. Nothing like an ice cold beer brewed right here in Baltimore and some steamed crabs at Balitmore's own Phillips Seafood Restaurant. It's a good thing I model the transition era when a bushel of crabs were most affordable. Current prices today for a bushel of those hard shelled clawed critters are through the roof! Stay cool where ever you are!
The Beer Depot has an amazing selection of the liquid libation. Skelley couldn't wait until he got home! He just had to pop one open before driving home. Good thing he had a huge lunch to absorb the alcohol. He has a lot of time and money invested in his bay window belly! And then there's Otis over there to the left of the Skelley's Woody. Otis is the self proclaimed "Quality Control Expert" who has set a low bar ( no pun intended ) for beers to pass his taste test.
Baltimore American Beer. Although Mr. Bo is the mascot for National Bohemian Beer ( also brewed in Baltimore during the Transition Era ) , he casts an eye on Patsburg's Brewtown Neighborhood even as a nearby local competitor's reefer is spotted at the National Bo Brewery.
Mr. Bo on the go!

This is from one of my very earliest Christmas layouts. Just bought the farm stuff. I wasn't much into scenery back then, as though that isn't obvious. DUH.

FOR TODAY: Ed Hinkley drives off with a load of auto frames. Takin em over to the new Tucker Motors plant located just outside Patsburg.
"I tell you what Skip. Just as soon as break is over we'll get to work unloadin these auto frames. But for right now why don't we sit here on our keasters and sip some coffee." "Yep Giles, it'el take ol' Ed a while before he comes back with an empty trailer for us to load up again. Who knows, he may not get back here till lunch time, and in that case it will take us all afternoon to get this car unloaded. I heard tell, that there feller Preston Tucker has requested a rail siding be built to his new car plant he bought that used to be an aircraft factory. He says those Tucker 48's will be selling like hot cakes!! Shucks Giles! I don't know who would buy a car with three headlights, a safety belt that goes around your waist, an air cooled engine that's in the rear of the car , and the gol darn trunk in the front of the car." "I know whatcha mean Skip. I'll betcha in a few year those cars won't be worth a plug nickel!"
Well looky here! Ed's back with an empty trailer! I guess break is over.

That is a SUPERB nighttime photo!!!! It is very well composed and though you can definitely tell that it is nocturnal, you can still clearly see the details of the buildings, automobiles and the arriving locomotive. BRAVO!!!
