I took these pictures in April 1986 at the NYS&W Little Ferry, NJ Roundhouse. NYS&W brought Fonda Johnston and Gloversville Alco S2 engines #20 & #21 to Little Ferry to be scrapped by Naporano Iron Co. shortly after the NYS&W purchased the upstate New York short line. It would have been nice if these engines were saved. The town of Fonda, NY was reportedly founded by the late actor Henry Fonda's ancestors.

Took these on Saturday, when I had my WW2 jeep on display at a car show one block away from the depot:

I also caught this: https://youtu.be/0C-2y9pRv60

Nice photos, but...

...dangerous "sandwich" constellation, when light-weight Talgo-coaches are coupled between two heavy diesels.

No, one one end is either a control car or a gutted former F40 with only a control stand. There's only an actual locomotive at one end.

It's a system that has served Amtrak for a while.

Drilling the Paint Factory:

Drilling because only one of those three boxes is a pickup. The Santa Fe box will be spotted and the Espee box will be stored off-spot. The black Santa Fe tank is an empty pick-up while the orange Santa Fe tank will be spotted. An empty box and a loaded tank (resins) are out of sight behind the gray PS2CD and will be drilled into off-spot storage.
