C. Sam my wife and I just made a trip to our daughter's home outside of Charlotte NC. Of course we were routed around interstate 40 in the Ashville area. We went through some back roads and seeing the damage was terrible. I hope you was outside this area. Thanks for you're posts . Really nice.

@Jim Teeple: If my counting is correct, that's the 498th superbly done structure of yours that you posted here! But seriously, every time I see one that I haven't seen before I ask myself "I wonder how many more of these he has?". Keep 'em coming

I made a model of my house and did the interior as well. I had to make every item since I wanted each of them to perfectly match what I had in my real house. Furniture, fixtures, appliances, drapes - size, color, etc. I made the roof removable. I even tried to model the landscaping as best as I could.

Here's one shot of the back of the house. A small house: the downstairs wasn't at this time remodeled yet so I didn't model it.
Here's some pictures of the modeled interior rooms:

Jim, that's a nice railroad scene centered around the great looking water tank. This is the first I have noticed that you have a high line and town way up on the hill!!

Farmerjohn...are those walls part of a kit? Or modules? Or scratch built?

Farmall Joe. The building I used for my disterrily is a product made by some guys I met at York. They make bridges and also the flats you see on the wall behind the disterrily. I farmed all my career and only had one Farmall. A 1086. Super nice machine.

Converted one of my tank cars to a rail Cleaning car that match the rest of the train.
FOR TODAY: Two turkeys, Gertrude and Heathcliff are being given a ride by double deck cattle car. They are going out of town to attend a Thanksgiving dinner where they will be the "guest of honor". The two foul are pretty excited about this, however, Gertrude is a bit puzzled as to why the pair were only given one way tickets. Heathcliff wonders how in the world will they get back home after Thanksgiving!
Farmer Chance Smoot has made sure they have upper and lower berth accommodations.
But ... the pair of turkey's have decided they would rather travel together in the lower berth.
Farmer Smoot bids farewell to his chosen ones.
Stay tuned to "A Picture a Day" for the rest of the story ..... to be continued.

I used to host was we called the "The Train Party" each Christmas season, for all 28 of my local family members. Lots of young niece and nephews to keep entertained. I liked to find ways to involve them with the layout so I set up the Lional coal conveyor accessory with NERD candy as the "coal". The kids were (supposedly) only able to enjoy the candy by activating the accessory and dumping the candy into their dish.
I would dump some of the candy into the coal car and that's where things started for each kid.

WOW you guys sure have some wonderful layouts! I think you all have done such amazing work and to be able to post it here for the rest of us to see is an amazing accomplishment.
As @farmerjohn says model railroad are better when enjoyed by others and I would have to say he is correct as all of your photos have put a smile on my face!
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!
