Roy Robbins of Acme had been advertising as early as 1932 ..  very little is known about him and his company with few surviving pieces .

Roy was offering kits in 1/4" scale ... then in 1934 he worked with Lee B Green of MiLoco - Mini -Scale  fame ...who worked in 17/64ths...... Roy left Green with in a year , but was now promoting 17/64ths

Roy  went into or advertised going into HO in 1937   and that the Mike was going to Walthers ...last  I heard of Roy Robbins .

The enclosed drive on the Mike is the same as found on the MiLoco  Hudson and K4 ...also Mini Scale Hudson ..

I have what I believe to be a Acme  P5 A   17 64ths ...

Hopefully in time more about Acme and surviving pieces will surface ...  Roy offered a cast aluminum Hudson  before MiLoco ....  where are they ? ...

Roy offered a line of cast passenger and freight cars  ...I believe I have one of the passenger cars which is very close to a Mi Loco ...but with cast rivets ..body in cast aluminum...

Cheers Carey
