Hooray for Amtrak. I have read about the billions being spent but your video showed those beautiful trains. Thanks for sharing this video.
We'll be lucky in our lifetime to see this model. I'm a big Amtrak fan so I hope that's not true. 😃
Thanks for the update! I need new ones with TMCC.

A very informative video. Thanks for posting. 👍
I am also very excited to see these trains roll off of the line in real life, and I hope to see some model ones as well.
Really smart looking train, Bob - better looking IMHO than the pending Acela replacement. Thanks for sharing. Not that I need anymore trains, but I’d be in for a set (assuming it runs on O-72 curves!!!).
FWIW - Interestingly VIA Rail in Canada is currently testing new train sets as well. For anyone interested, just google and you’ll probably be able to see their new colour scheme.
Whats gonna suck is the loss of the superliners. Now one riding the trains in the midwest and west will not be able to see abovr s freight train rollimg on the adjacent track. It will all be a blur again.
Gorgeous trains, it would be hard for me to resist a set...
Encouraging to see the investment in new trainsets system wide. Now for the NEC, a massive plant upgrade is sorely needed. Will Amtrak finally get the respect from Congress it needs?

For those interested, here's a few shots I took of the second built Venture trainset being delivered to VIA Rail.

Are the "Venture" cars shown by BigTruckPete any different from the "Airo" train cars?
I am not a fan of the name "Airo," but I like the trains. On another forum it has been pointed out that an online search for "Airo" brings up a cannibus supply company.

I didn't catch the part about Superliners being retired without any hi-level replacements. Where was it? In the video?

Impressive new trains, like the bigger windows and interior look.
However...in my opinion, I don't think they'll ever make another good-looking passenger locomotive again. The last one I ever thought looked good was the F40PH!
The sets shown in the video are all single level coach style cars. The plan is to replace the rather old Amfleet stock. While not new the SuperLiners are much newer than that equipment.
The video lists the trains to be reequipped, none of the overnight or long distance routes are mentioned. You'll enjoy the SuperLiners for many more years.
That's it for me.
I'm going to stop collecting at Phase XXVII!
no more flying sea turtles?
Guess I know which paintscheme of GGD Charger to put in a pre-order for. But who's gonna do the Venture coaches? Hmmm...
<thinks about his numerous Amfleet coaches and wonders where he's going to put that inevitable future fleet upgrade >
