I don't like taking advantage of the forum for business purposes, but I have received a lot of emails from members questioning what is going on because we shut down selling track on the site, but are still selling on EBay. The reason is we do not have enough inventory to consistently advertise on our site. Right now we are cleaning out the stock we have left for this season and selling it off. We are snowbirds and do not plan on actively continuing our business (with the exception of tools) over the summer. Lake Michigan is calling, and we plan on answering.

We will however spend a lot of time purchasing inventory over the summer, and do reconditioning in Wisconsin. Come fall we will transport it all back to Arizona, and actively promote our business once again. We are re-evaluating which grades of track we will offer. It looks like now we will only be offering brite and shiny and TinMan's favorite.

Many of you have responded and sent us O gauge track, switches etc, which we not only used but now are all but gone, so we still are in desperate need of additional stock if any of you out there have that they would like to sell. We still have a month or so left. The procedure we use is, you pack it up, and we will send you shipping labels. Once we receive the stock we will credit your pay pal account, or send you a check your choice. Oh, no O27 please.

WHY NO O27? We can only do what we can do. I need to concentrate on only what we can do and do well. I sure think that someone out there should consider doing nothing but O27. I would be more than happy to assist them in their quest. Activity like ours helps majorly to promote the hobby, and the more the merrier.

Lastly we have been completely blown away at the response that we have received from all of you. Every time I question, why am I doing this, I remember the interaction with fellow hobbyists. You guys have provided the real rewards and I am grateful!

As a tubular fan I want to thank you guys for your products. I've been going thru my tubular gradually over the past few weeks and slowly cleaning and reconditioning it so I know how much work is involved. I pick up track every now and then for my dream layout and hope to be able to get track for many years to come either from you or hopefully brand new.

To Baltimore train works, I guess our reputation is spreading, I just had a discussion yesterday from someone who wanted me to purchase new track imported from China. Selling price would be around $2.50. Think I will take a pass.

B Dobson, the killer in doing that kind of thing is not the selling cost, it is the shipping. It costs just as much to ship the entire kit for what it would cost to ship the jig. Will think about it, maybe combine with something else to make the whole package worth while to the buyer. We have a new pliers we are now marketing designed to crimp down the ties on the track, but most people that are buying it already have our pliers. So it does not make sense there to do a combo, but will think about it.
