Why don't we see more Anderson's on model railroads. The Amateur Radio Emergency Service uses them so everybody's stuff can connect with each other. And you cannot "cross pole" tjhe Andersons.

I Like them as well. They are not well known is probably the answer.
I use them all over the place.
I use red/black for all my 12c DC Ham stuff and blue/black for all of my AC train stuff - keeps me from accidentally mixing my DC's and AC's.
On our 3 track portable club layout, I use an 8 position Powerpole plug/jack to quickly hookup all wires with one connector.

Our club is rewiring all modules using them. Except for the cost of the tool needed theyseem to carry a better load.
Russell's right. I don't know what they are or how they would benefit me. Would someone kindly elaborate on Anderson Power Poles (photos may help)?
The smaller ones are rated for around 50 amps. We use them in RC boats, planes.

For what?!!
Maybe this will help. The beauty is you can gang them together in any arrangement you need.
Standard Powerpole housings accept contacts of 15, 30 and 45 amp capacities. I wish our club would convert. We do use some on non standard modules.

I have a few but mostly I use the 15 and 20 space set screw bars.
KC4LBI here I figure the "LBI" stands for Lot's a Bucks Invested
Been a Ham for twenty years and liked the call sign for CW so I never changed it.
I wanted to find a less expensive hobby so I went from N scale to O LOL.
I've since discovered that O scale is just an acronym for the longer way it should be pronounced . It should be O....My....God Scale . Anyone who's bought a Vision Line Loco lately knows what I mean.

David;
O is also the same for Amatuer Rocketry.
An O engine is a once in a decade launch and I was fortunate to see one 5 years ago at a launch in NY.
Rocket was similar to an Honest John in shape, 30' tall, 1 foot diameter. Bright Orange in color.
From dead on the pad thru Mach 2 to 16,000 feet in seconds. O MY GOD!!!
On a bright Violet flame 30' long !!!
Landed back on the field a bit later within walking distance (took the truck to haul the rocket back tho)
And yes, we use Parachutes to bring them down softly.
Thanks John! That's some great information on wiring. Lots of nice stuff on the liberty- hi-railers website too. I learn something everyday on the forum.
