NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Not a heritage unit.  A properly painted "redbird" consistent with the way CB&Q painted their last units.  The lionel, with all its slanted stripes and too much grey in the lower part of the body, does not count.

As Matt showed in his photo of atsf sd70ace, we are talking a paint job that assumes CB&Q is still an un-merged railroad.

Okay, THAT one I've seen.    It's not bad...I kind of dislike the angled stripes on the side of the shell.  Just a personal preference.  I would much prefer the one pictured in your post.  I guess it's Frank's design? I bet his representation would  look very striking on an SD70ACe.

I noticed that the MOPAC heritage re-issue will be here in only two months from now.  If that sd70ace has great sound like this, I am going to be a very happy camper!

Between this and the thread on the SD45T-2 review, MTH seems to be upping the ante with volume on all their diesels.  Great overall news!

Awesome sound.   Ear-splitting horn.  The chipmunks in the garage were running for cover .     (Matt, you agree??)
