Is the OGR team still "working on" how the Google ads are popping up? It is still pretty annoying having to click the down arrow every time one changes subjects.

Let's hope so, still getting 'scantily clad' women ads not suitable for the grandkids!

Keep in mind the ads that pop up (at least mine) are related to what is being searched on the device. I've been researching Dyson vacuums lately and most of my ad pop ups are very much related. I haven't had any " questionable" ads show up so far.

We're some 'old folks' here and aren't searching for lingerie any longer! Been more than a few years Lol.
Have only seen 2 or maybe 3 at the most...
I'm surprised at how annoying those bottom margin pop up ads really are. This forum is important to me, but I'm actually thinking about 'could I do without this'...

Well, that certainly has NOT been my experience! The last week or so, I have done NO "searching" for anything on the internet, yet I get some of the most ridiculous Google "pop up" ads.
Plus EVERY TIME I click on another OGR subject, the pop-up raise from the bottom, and the down-arrow must be clicked on, in order to read the thread.

Well...this is disappointing. Let us know if you want your forum account to be closed. By the way, I assume that you also do without YouTube since they have ads that interrupt viewing of YouTube videos. 
Guys....the Google ads are a fact of life from this point forward on this forum. Out of millions of page views with 80% of the traffic coming from non-members and almost 90% non-subscribers ... and less than 400 supporting members out of the tens of thousands of registered members, if you want OGR to continue to offer the forum, we must find a way to make up for the 5 figure cost (that is 5 figures to the left of the decimal) to provide the forum. I have heard and seen the comments some of you all make on other forums thinking that all I am concerned about is making a buck but that is simply not the case. Those that are in the know understand that owning a company like this one is not making any of the staff a lot of money. If this was such a lucrative business, then take a look at what has happened to other magazines that compete with OGR and this market. We are still plugging away because Allan Miller and I love this hobby and we have been very careful financially with the income. I was fortunate enough to have some good paying jobs before I joined OGR and luckily invested so I can enjoy bringing this forum and magazine to you all without having to personally make a fortune...that is just not my prime purpose here.
OK...anyway, I probably opened up too much and I apologize for that. If you want some of the extra ads to go away, then you have choices: become at least digital subscribers and supporting members or if you can't stand the inconvenience of having to click arrows to get rid of ads, then you may choose to leave the forum OR just put up with some ads that frankly nearly all websites have....but please allow us to continue to bring the forum at the lowest possible cost for both you all and OGR...and our generous Sponsors. Thanks for your support and understanding.
Interesting for sure...I do a lot of "searching" for things on the internet and never receive a Google pop-up ad on this forum.
Maybe I just don't see 'em?
